Cosmetic Dentistry

Crooked teeth, worn teeth, fillings, gaps, chips, cracks, and discolorations – you name it, we can fix it! It’s no secret that our smiles have a huge effect on how others see us and how we feel about ourselves. Many patients tell us that they would love to fix their teeth, but they assume it will take something extreme to make it possible. They are thrilled to find out there are many conservative options for improvement. Ask us about veneers, bonding, crowns, and more. We also offer take-home teeth whitening kits for brightening your smile in the privacy of your own home.

Restoring a Healthy Smile

Damaged teeth not only affect the appearance of your smile, but your functionality in everyday life, too. It’s important to address chips, cracks, or other damage to prevent them from causing further problems later on. Dr. Tanner is skilled at providing beautiful, strong restorations for a return to a healthy, natural-looking smile.

The Isolite™ Dental Isolation System

This multi-function unit’s most important feature is suction which removes droplets and aerosols from the air during treatment. Additionally, its flexible mouthpiece provides an increased level of dental isolation and includes a light for improved illumination of the inside of your mouth. For comfort, there is a built-in bite block to assist you in keeping your mouth open. Isolite was designed to make your treatment quicker and easier, not only eliminating multiple hand instruments previously used by dentists and dental assistants but also shortening your time in the chair and our office.

digital-x-rays

Digital X-Rays

Traditional dental X-rays have been “good enough,” but digital X-rays provide clearer and much more accurate pictures of what’s going on inside a patient’s mouth. This makes it easier for the doctor to diagnose issues. Leaks or breaks in fillings that used to go unnoticed, often leading to root canals, can now be found and treated before major damage is done. We can also view your entire mouth in one shot, including the upper and lower jaws, with panoramic digital images.

Straight Teeth, Fast!

The team at Tabeguache Dental is very happy to offer ClearCorrect™ virtually invisible aligners to our patients. Many patients see full results in only 9 – 15 months! Clear aligners can correct such imperfections as crowding, wide spaces, overbite, underbite, and even crossbite. A fast, nearly invisible option for straighter teeth!

intra-oral-camera

Intra-Oral Camera

Dr. Tanner works hand-in-hand with patients to create a bond of teamwork. The amazing intra-oral camera is a miniature video camera that displays a close-up picture of the inside of your mouth. You can see for yourself what work needs to be done and which teeth are doing fine. You then become a participant in each dental decision. You’ll love how this works!

Bridging the Gap

If you’ve lost one or more teeth and have a gap, a bridge may be the best solution for you. We secure the bridge on either side using crowns attached to the remaining teeth. Our bridges are also made with high-quality materials for security and appearance, so the bridge blends well with your other teeth. You can be confident in your full smile!

root-canals-save-hopeless-teeth

Root Canals Save Hopeless Teeth

Teeth with roots that have been damaged or infected used to require extraction, which can lead to additional complications. The good news is that we are well experienced in advanced root canal therapy, a procedure that removes the pulp of a tooth and fills it with filling material, saving the tooth. With modern anesthetics and technology, root canals are quite manageable, and we can do them here, with the team you already trust, instead of referring you to another office. In the unfortunate situation where a tooth is too damaged or infected to be saved, and extraction is the best option, we are also able to perform the procedure here. Our compassionate manner and gentle touch will make you feel comfortable in our care for this treatment.

Bonded White Fillings

We provide tooth-colored fillings that are strong and beautiful.

regular-hygiene-visit

Regular Hygiene Visits

An important reason to visit the dentist is to have your teeth cleaned by a professional hygienist. Plaque and tartar form on teeth over time. Plaque is soft and sticky, but regular brushing can usually remove most of it. Plaque hardens into tartar, which is beyond the scope of your toothbrush and floss. Tartar accumulates below the gumline as well as on the surface of the teeth. If you don’t remove plaque, you risk more serious problems with your teeth and gums later on. Having your teeth cleaned regularly is one of the best things you can do to stay healthy!

Sedation Dentistry Options

At Tabeguache Dental, we offer several sedation options, including nitrous oxide “laughing gas,” oral triazolam, and IV sedation. Sedation enables our patients to receive both minor and extensive dental treatment in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Dr. Tanner will evaluate your health history in order to determine which sedation option is right for you.

In-House Tooth Extractions

If a tooth is extensively damaged or infected, or if third molars, commonly known as wisdom teeth are impacted, extraction is the solution to the problem. We do most extractions in our office, so you will not be inconvenienced with a referral to another office. Our compassionate manner will make you feel comfortable in our care for this treatment.

What Are “Traditional” Dentures?

We use this term to describe what most people think of as dentures. A full set of replacement teeth that can be placed in your mouth, and then removed, without any kind of anchor. A partial denture can be clipped onto existing teeth and fill the space left by missing natural teeth.

Do You Find Yourself Falling Asleep on the Job?

If you or a loved one find yourself falling asleep during the day, snoring loudly, or having interrupted breathing during sleep, it may be sleep apnea. In many cases, sleep apnea can be managed with a custom dental appliance. Ask us for details!

Protecting Teeth During Sports

Did you know that 5 million teeth are knocked out each year in the United States alone? Many sports can be dangerous without the proper protection. The one-size-fits-all mouthguards found in stores just don’t fit very well. Custom-made sports mouthguards fit well, protect well, and can be worn for any sport.
